Elsa Gonzalez

Elsa Gonzalez came to Erwin after working as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) for a year. Elsa wanted to further her education, so she took the entrance test, but did not achieve the required score. Elsa came to The Learning Center and received instruction in reading, math, and language.

After successfully retesting, she entered the Erwin Licensed Practical Nursing (LPN) program. For two years before starting, Elsa had worked, planned, saved, and studied, so that entering the LPN program would be a smooth transition. She maintained a B average, and plans to continue to further her education and become a Registered Nurse (RN).

Elsa says she is very glad she waited to study at Erwin because the LPN instructors give their students individual help and special tutoring sessions. She also says Erwin’s excellent reputation is known throughout the medical community.
