Cynthia Whiteman

Cynthia Whiteman came to Erwin for retraining after an auto accident left her unable to work. She had worked as a cosmetologist for 26 years. After taking the Erwin entrance test, she came to the Learning Center and raised her scores in reading and math. Cynthia entered the Interior Decorating program.

Cynthia had been out of school for many years and had to develop good study habits. Through hard work and a positive outlook, plus her many creative skills, Cynthia maintained an A average, made the Principal’s Honor Roll and was named to the National Honor Society.

Cynthia encourages prospective students to be self-motivated and commit to whatever it takes to reach their goals. Her motto is “never look back, always look ahead”.
